What Our Customers Are Saying About Our Service!

Here at Patterson Plumbing & Heating, we offer complete plumbing, water heater, drain and sewer services for Pueblo, Colorado area home owners. Our expert plumbers and drain techs are dedicated to technical and service excellence, and take servicing your home seriously.

We want to thank all of our customers who have provided feedback on the jobs we’ve done. Check out what they’ve been saying about our service!

“I called this company as I had a major plumbing problem that needed repaired in the downstairs bath.  They were able to do it the next day and sent Greg C. out.  He was the most courteous, qualified person I have ever dealt with.  He went right to work on this big job and got it all done on the same day.  He cleaned up every bit of debris caused by this repair and left the area as good as new.  He did not track mud or snow in and wore covers over his shoes.  He explained why he was doing everything he did and was very open to any questions I had.  I will always use this company and hopefully I can get Greg every time.   I would trust any job to this company and to Greg.” – Linda Rossen

“Tim, my service tech, instilled confidence from the moment we met. His appearance was neat and his uniform clean. He explained the job and what the charges would be. His work was done in a timely fashion and completed to my satisfaction. I would recommend Patterson to all who asked.” – Steven Mason

“Tony and John provided service in response to my call about backing up sewer. My home is a lovely historic home built in 1924. Upon first arrival they could not locate clean out pipes. One was located in the floor of the detatched garage. They located an accessible one in the basement bathroom behind a concealed panel. They cleaned my sewer pipe, took camera footage of its condition and got everything working for me. They were so dedicated, professional, efficient, knowledgeable and considerate of me and my convenience. Bless their little hearts! They got everything working and recommended maintenance care I do myself. I really appreciate this kind of caring service.” – Deborah Nelson

Dishwasher Maintenance Checklist

Your dishwasher is one of those appliances we all rely on. These machines save you time and effort but the daily wear and tear it goes through can really take a toll. That’s why proper maintenance is key to extending their average lifespan.

Here’s a checklist for you to use to make sure your dishwasher lasts for years!

  1. Use as directed – Review the user manual to make sure you are loading it correctly, using the proper soap, and adding it the correct way. Never put anything in the dishwasher that isn’t dishwasher safe!
  2. Regularly deep clean – Take a damp rag and wipe down the door, walls, and all crevices and remove any removable pieces to wash them with soap and water.
  3. Run a cleaning cycle – After you deep clean, take one cup of white vinegar and put it in a bowl on the top rack inside the dishwasher. Run the machine on a hot cycle to the vinegar can help deep clean and get rid of anything you may have missed. Once complete, you may need to wipe down the insides again to remove what the vinegar has loosened.

Smart Ways to Clean Your Kitchen

When cleaning your kitchen, always start with the sink. An empty, sparkling sink becomes your kitchen’s model for hygiene and tidiness, motivating you to load the dishwasher immediately and keep counters, stove tops, and cabinet doors spick-and-span as well. For some smart ways to clean – see some of the below tips from Buzzfeed, just be sure to have baking soda, salt, lemons, or white vinegar on hand:

Natural cleaners. Vinegar, baking soda, salt and lemon.

Clean a stainless steel sink with baking soda – sprinkle baking soda evenly and scrub with an old toothbrush (or sponge) and voila! Clean sink.

Clean a stainless steel sink with salt and a lemon – Combine lemon juice and salt until the mixture reaches the consistency of toothpaste. Apply this to brass, copper, or stainless steel sinks and scrub gently. When finished, rinse with water!

Clean a garbage disposal with lemon and white vinegar – Slice lemons into small pieces and place them into an ice tray with white vinegar. Once frozen, pop out a few cubes and run them through the disposal every few days to keep it fresh!

If you come across some problems while cleaning your kitchen, give one of our experts at Patterson Plumbing & Heating a call! A specialist will come by, diagnose the plumbing problem, make recommendations and prepare pricing by the job – not the hour – so there are no surprises. Give us a call at 719-544-4922!

It’s that time of year, your kids will be swapping their swimsuits for backpacks and the transition from the lazy days of summer to busy school schedules will be upon you. This change in routine can not only be stressful on you and your family – but your pipes as well!

With the entire family getting ready for work and school at once, your plumbing system needs to be prepared. See below for some tips to ensure you start this school year off on a good foot:

  • Split showers between mornings and nights. Staggering bathing times helps to ensure optimal water temperature and pressure for everybody. You may want to consider putting in a place a minutes maximum bathing time rule as well.
  • Help avoid moisture problems and keep cooling costs down, run the bathroom fan during and after showers/baths for 15 minutes to control humidity
  • Using faucets for personal hygiene can take up approximately 12% of your home’s water usage! Turn off the tap between wetting your toothbrush and rinsing your mouth!
  • Be mindful of what is put down the drain or toilet. Make sure unwanted items go where they belong otherwise you may have a clogged toilet or drain on your hands.

3. Color, color, and more color. Whether it be adding a custom color roof, shutters or just plants in the front yard, color makes a house pop. Caring for Your Air Conditioner

The worst thing that could happen in the midst of summer is having your AC blow out and stop working. Generally, air conditioners should last for 15 or more years if cared for properly.

Here are 5 tips to help maintain the life span of your AC.

Hiring a highly rated technician for service

  • This should happen once a year
  • Give a Patterson Plumbing & Heating technician a call to clean the outdoor condenser coils
  • It is important to check the blower and motor, return and supply lines and refrigerant levels

Changing the Filter

  • Change the units filter at least 4 times a year
  • A dirty filter restricts the air flow
  • Changing a dirty filter can lower a unit’s energy consumption by 5 to 15 percent

Avoid constant temperature changes

  • This creates highs and lows where the system has to work harder to drop the temperature during the lows
  • Keep a small range of temperature settings and keep it consistent

Conduct an Energy Audit

  • Ensure your home is sufficiently insulated and that your A/C is properly sized for your home

Avoid ice buildup on AC

  • A unit that is too small to cool a large space can cause this
  • Turn off the unit immediately to allow it to cool down
  • Call your trusted Patterson Plumbing & Heating technician to see what’s causing the problem to avoid further damage

We’re the Pueblo, Colorado area heating and air conditioning tune-up specialists, offering upfront pricing and clean and courteous technicians.
